The LONG PILL:
For a girl who never had many social options besides her beloved books, the bookstore, and her family, who were distracted with their own issues, Ju-Kyung (aka Lim Ju-bal) gets a complete overhaul on her life, and becomes popular and pretty, after she perfects her makeup and debuts her new self to her new school. But just as makeup fades, so can everything else you thought was true.
I LOVE a great makeover, and would have Loved to see a full and lasting transformation towards the end. I do, however, understand that for messaging purposes, the idea of allowing ‘True Beauty’ to shine above all else, could have possible gotten lost. But as a fan unbelievable Kdrama situations, finding a remedy to the problem would have been an A for me.
