KDRAMA PHARMA

(to Cure K-Drama Fever!)

Birthcare Center (2020) A+

The SHORT Pill:

A super creative take on the child birthing process and and the wild postpartum thoughts that plague new mother at the start of their journey.

The Pharma 5 Watch Guide!

Best Time To Watch:

Anytime of the day! I started early in the day and was able to complete the entire series before dark.

Prescribed For:

All Audiences will love this offbeat, creative, and honest viewpoint of motherhood expectations following birth.

Love And Romance:

Not only is this the obvious love, or lack thereof, between mother and baby, but it also has some good sprinkles of bromance, sisterhood, and the re-establishment of love and understanding between couples who are adjusting to changes after Baby Life.

Classic Clichés:

Besides the classic reversing of death by escaping a reaper, this drama has a fresh spin of its own without borrowing many classic clichés.

Addiction Level:

3 Pills – Very Addictive. You can’t help but wonder what will happen on the next episode.

The LONG PILL:

I now know what I want to do with my life. First, I want to get pregnant, then I want to give birth to my preciously adorable and VERY healthy babies, and then I would like to join a Birthcare Center for an undetermined amount of time. Why? Well, because spas are SO last year! Birthcare Center takes an exaggerated and slightly satirical approach to crossroad decisions that moms have to take, like breastfeeding vs formula, stay-at-home vs return to work, and Nanny vs raise yourself.
I wish there were more episodes because I could’ve kept on watching. I was truly saddened when it ended.

Exam Results:

A+

From the time I pressed play, I was thoroughly impressed with this drama that I initially thought would be a challenge to commit to. I could’ve watched longer if only there were more episodes!

Side Effects:

You will definitely reconsider your perspective on the beauty, or subjectiveness of what is considered beautiful, of giving birth and the aftermath.
